Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened

well - yesterday was my last day of work... i was okay until the staff meeting - i knew that i wouldn't be able to make it through without crying... i can't believe i don't have a teaching job next year.

lets talk about aiden... he's doing okay - we went to the doctor today because of his excessive spit up/throw up after each bottle... the FNP we saw last week recommended a barium swallow test - well the FNP we saw today didn't really want to go that route... and that made me happy - so we are trying some other things first. aiden has been constipated since last thursday (he's having BM's - they are just very hard) so we are treating that first... she said that part of him spitting up could be that he is so backed up and it's putting pressure on his stomach which is then causing him to spit up. so i have some medicine to add to his bottle to help. so we are trying that for about 2 weeks and see if that helps. if not we move on to step 2 - and that is to give him zantac - which she said is what they give for reflux. and then if that still isn't helping that we will try him back on a soy formula.

i'm glad she didn't want to do that barium swallow - he's already had one x-ray already and he's still so little!

we've also taken aiden to the chiropractor twice... i think it's been good for him. we can only afford to take him when adam goes though - which is every other week - if he goes with adam he only costs $1

adam is in his 6th week of mandate (the police academy) he's got 4 weeks left. then he'll be an actual badge wearing - gun carrying - sheriffs deputy! he's doing great so far - he's 3rd in the class!

i think thats about all for the turner household - nothing too exciting - but thats life!

2 month update

so there is aiden - sleeping after his doctors appt.

he is getting SO BIG! he weighs 13.14 pounds and is 23.5 inches long! he's in the 90% for weight and 70% for length. everything looked good - and he's right where he should be! i did talk to the doctor about his fussiness in the car... he said it is most likely from riding backwards - he probably doesn't like it. he said his oldest son was the same way. once aiden is 20 lbs. we can turn the car seat around and most likely that'll fix it. i guess we'll see - once he's 20 lbs.

and then came the part i was dreading...he got 3 shots. i was holding him and feeding him - the first shot was actually 2 at one time. he was eating and then all of the sudden he opened his mouth REAL BIG and he let out one of the biggest screams i've heard come out of his mouth and then he turned the deepest shade of red... and then he got his last shot and he cried for about 30 seconds and then took the bottle again and ate - and he seemed fine. we got dressed - ate some more and then i put him in his car seat and by the time we got to the check out counter - he was asleep. he slept for about 2.5 hours.

and now he's swinging and looking out the window.

i love my little man... he is getting so big - and he was so brave today!
