WARNING - this isn't a good happy post...

i lost my job for next year... i was in tears in the principals office thursday morning - all that is going through my head... we just bought a new house and just had a baby and now i'm losing my job - how in the world are we going to get through this?

budget cuts... thats the reason - rome city had to cut about 25 teaching positions - our school had to cut 2 teachers

i've already applied for one job as a daycare director at a church daycare... and i have an application to fill out this weekend for a daycare coordinator (i'm guessing something like a director) with the housing authority that i'll take by on monday. i also updated my resume on the teach georgia website - although right now the only jobs on there are for high school and special education - both i'm not qualified for. maybe something will come up this summer...

on the positive side - they don't cut one big check at the end of may (NC did this) - i will continue to receive a paycheck through august and i have health insurance through september. and if i don't find a job - thats more time at home with my son...

Aiden's first photoshoot

the day after aiden was 1 month we took him to get pictures taken - he did pretty well - he was a little fussy but not too bad - he gave us some silly faces. we got the CD with the rights so yes i'm allowed to post these - here are some of my favorites...

HAPPY EASTER!

Aiden's first big holiday was Easter... he had a cute "Baby's first Easter" bib to wear... and in his Easter basket was some candy (for mommy and daddy) and his bathing suit for our days up at grandma and grandpa's at the pool - they have sea turtles all over them! and a pair of sun glasses...


"but i don't want that stinkin' Easter basket!"

This was also Aiden's first trip to church... daddy usually has to work - but his Sgt. let him leave work for a few hours since it was Aiden's first Easter AND first trip to church... it was a nice surprise! Aiden did pretty good... we had one fussy time - but after we calmed down - he slept the rest of the time.
